Lorena Mondragón

Lorena Mondragón is an illustrator and graphic designer based on the U.S.–Mexico border with a background in Communications and Graphic Design. She has worked for over a decade with studios in both Mexico and the United States, building a portfolio that spans identity design, editorial illustration, and packaging.

Her client list includes Apple, Penguin Random House, PepsiCo, and the World Wildlife Fund, among others. Mondragón’s packaging work has been featured in The Dieline and other international design publications, while her illustrations have earned recognition in competitions such as the World Illustration Awards (London), Latin American Illustration (New York), Bienal de Ilustración (Mexico City), and Hiii Illustration (China).

As an illustrator, Mondragón draws from themes of human experience, nostalgia, memory, and the natural world. Her practice reflects the hybrid sensibility of the border: global in scope yet deeply connected to her roots. Whether developing a brand identity or illustrating a book, she creates visuals that are both precise and poetic, bridging audiences across languages and geographies.
